Arctic DivingDiving from the world’s most northerly dive school our package has different advantages all year in some of the clearest and most unspoilt waters you’ve not yet seen! Further North than the Northern coast of Alaska, yet thanks to the Gulf Stream, the Arctic Ocean (the Barents Sea) does not freeze here and scuba diving is possible all year round. In summer the sun never sets and you can dive 24 hours a day. In winter the Northern Lights send veils of iridescent colours across the starry sky, visibility under water is 50 metres and more, and the ocean floor stretches out before your eyes with its valleys, hills and mountains – endlessly – that is when you understand that this world under water really is bigger than the world above water. Additional trips can include Orca diving where you can swim with killer whale and wreck diving – looking at WW2 ships, With a strict no touch policy and so few divers who have even seen them anyway they really are perfectly preserved. Between Autumn and Spring visibility can reach in excess of 50 metres. The area is the resting place of German destroyers Anton Schmitt and Wilhelm Heidkamp and other destroyers as well as several armed cargo ships and the steamships Elise Schulte & Romanby Package:
